Annual Wellness Exams in Idaho Falls

Our annual wellness exams provide a complete picture of your health; helping you stay proactive, identify risks early, and maintain long-term wellness. Designed for adults of all ages, these yearly visits allow our Idaho Falls providers to review your overall health, update screenings, and create a personalized plan for prevention and care. At Family First Medical Center, we make wellness visits approachable, informative, and focused on helping you feel your best year after year.

Common Conditions or Concerns

We address a wide range of health needs and concerns during annual wellness exams, including:

• Blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar monitoring
• Weight management and nutrition counseling
• Cancer and heart disease risk assessment
• Hormonal and metabolic changes
• Mental and emotional health screening
• Vaccination updates and preventive guidance
• Review of chronic conditions or ongoing treatments

During your annual physical, we will conduct a thorough wellness examination to assess your overall health and well-being. This visit is typically billed using a wellness code, which covers the preventive services included in your check-up. However, if during the course of your wellness visit you have additional acute complaints or chronic conditions that require further evaluation and management, an office visit code may also be billed. This additional charge reflects the time and resources necessary to address these specific health concerns beyond the scope of a standard wellness examination.

Sometimes, your provider may ask you to come back another day to discuss additional health concerns beyond the routine wellness examination if these arise. However, if time allows, both can be addressed during the same appointment. If this happens, a co-pay may be required as if the problem-oriented visit was on a different day.

Our goal is to provide you with the most comprehensive care possible. Should you have any questions or concerns about this billing practice, please do not hesitate to contact our office at 208-552-7700. Our team is here to assist you and ensure that you receive the best care possible.
